Today (22 September) I went with friends for a jolly jaunt to Weston Super Mare….
…and being a clear day could see Wales which was fun but the focus of the journey was to visit the Dismaland Bemusemement Park.
A fascinating experience and one that should not be missed – but you will have to get a move on as it closes this weekend.
It is a theme park with a difference created by Banksy and includes works of art from more than 50 artists from 17 different nations. It also has a bar and a cinema.
There are a number of creations from Banksy himself….
The Grim Reaper
Cinderella’s castle and the mermaid
and the woman attacked by seagulls
Other art works of interest included the cross stitched car door
a snake that had consumed Mickey Mouse
An interesting truck
and a wonderful piece of art on the wall
A great experience made complete with a late lunch of fish and chips on the Pier. How very British!
