Great friend Isobelle Davis and I ran two Shop of Skills workshops at this year’s Festival of Stitch and what a wonderful time we had!
The object of the two hour sessions was to show members of the public who signed up how to print and stitch on fabric. It was a chance from them to try out a new skill in an informal environment and it was very successful.
Isobelle explained the process and off they went. First preparing the paint tray for stencilling.
And then everyone could have a go at screen printing with a Thermofax screen.
The screened image was then Bondawebbed to the background stencilled fabric before sewing and embellishing with beads.
And, there was even time for a chat!
Two lovely sessions and six happy people – what more could you want!
