18-19 August saw the festivals very first Quilt Expo hung in Swansea Leisure Centre and though a daunting task for Cutting Edge Textile Group Isobelle Davis, Corinne Roberts and myself it was a tremendous success.
We hung 170 quilts and visitors commented on the variety – antique, traditional and contemporary quilts. They were also impressed with how well they had been hung and that the hall was spacious and light which enhanced their experience

Thanks, it was a lovely exhibition and we enjoyed taking part and of course visiting for the day. It must have taken a lot of organising and congratulations on staging the event so well. It’s such a lovely idea to get so many groups involved in the whole festival. We look forward to the next one!
