There is no time like the present to be thinking about Christmas – the sun has gone, the temperature is dropping and the night’s are drawing in!
So, having collected a number of empty cotton bobbins over the last few months I have created some Christmas decorations with them.
The bobbin is covered with either a Christmas fabric or ribbon and a decorative bow attached. The head is a wooden bead with a felt hat attached. This has been decorated with narrow ric rac. Gold or silver cord has been used to hang it with and the bottom of the cord has little bells attached. Looks quite cute. I wonder if it will catch on?
Many thanks to good friend Hilary, the Queen of recycling who encourages us never to throw things away before thinking about recycling!
