Book Cover

Someone recently gave me some completed cross stitch pictures and I was wondering what I might be able to do with them. After some thought I decided to use one in a book cover.

This snow scene cross stitch forms the centre panel for the front and I have created the surrounding background with scraps of lace, silk, silver lame, plus some foam snowdrop shapes and sequin moon shapes. It is covered with white voile that has tiny silver studs on it, quilted and then machine embroidered with silver and metallic blue thread. The stars on the cross stitch have been enhanced with silver and blue beads. The tie is made from fabric and textured wool.

One cross stitch down and two more to go – any ideas welcome!
